I offer freelance services and consultation for projects linked to children’s literature and reading for pleasure. Please do get in touch if you have a project I might able to help support with.
The kind of support I can offer includes (but is not limited to):
Delivering courses and workshops for adults on children’s literature, reading for pleasure, book selection, the latest children’s book releases. I am happy to tailor workshops to your needs.
Writing content for publications and websites about children’s books, reading for pleasure or reading development for the under-fives. You can read an example of blog content I was commissioned to write here, and read more about my writing here.
Compiling booklists and recommended reads. From translated children’s literature to ‘feisty princesses’, from specific year group recommendations to “if you like this, why not try …”, I have extensive knowledge and experience allowing me to tailor a booklist to your needs. Have a look here and here for examples of my booklists.
Writing teaching notes & curriculum support. Do you have a new book coming out and you would like support notes and activities available for teachers and parents to use? I can create notes for you which are aligned with the National Curriculum, such as the ones I created for A Year Full of Stories.
If you would like to discuss potential work collaborations, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org .
